College Works Painting encourages corporate and field employee involvement within the various communities that we operate in. By choosing to work with groups and organizations that aim to improve our world, we hope to be a positive influence in the community. The following are organizations that we have worked with to help improve lives and build strong examples of charity and service.
College Works Painting and Augie's Quest formed a partnership in 2009 that will directly touch more than 2,000 college students in the US, and more then 35,000 homeowners. College Works interns will contribute $5 for each house they paint and the money will go towards finding a cure for Lou Gehrig's disease. For more information visit www.augiesquest.com
The Make-A-Wish Foundation ®
For the past two years, College Works supported the mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. College Works was able to donate $5 for each job we produced during our production months, May 1st through October 1st, and guaranteed a minimum contribution of $40,000. College Works supports the work and the vision of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and we were honored to support their efforts.
Share Our Selves
College Works Painting co-founder Matthew Stewart actively supports the Share our Selves organization, a charity based out of Orange County, California. Stewart, who sits on the Board of Trustees, has been a sponsor of the annual Celebrity Chef Dinner since 2003. For more information about Share our Selves.
College Works Painting supports Corazón and its efforts through the "build a house in a day" program for low income families in Tijuana, Mexico. Both management and student interns give of their time, to travel south of the border to help build brand new homes from the ground up for needy families. Corazon is a non-profit, volunteer program that has sought to help families and individuals in neighborhoods all throughout Northern Baja California. College Works is proud to be able to aid them in their efforts.
Every year CWP District Managers across the country paint homes for free. This is usually done in the spring, and in addition to providing training for our employees "Charity Paints" provides some families a much needed paint job. District Managers work with local organizations to locate and set up the charity painting projects. Numerous families and organizations have been assisted through our "charity painting" program.
The entire College Works Painting management team is committed to community involvement. This commitment is shown through encouraging involvement at every level in the organization and by setting the example. College Works Painting plans to continue and expand this community involvement.
